"fears about the increasing globalization of the world economy"
How are we affected by globalization?
Positive: There are many positive ways that people can be affected by globalization, for example countries that are richer than others have more access to better clothing, foods and vehicles because of the number of different decisions that they can make about what they want to purchase, some people have different budgets and have a wider variety of things to buy can be helpful to those kinds of people.
Negative: There aren't only positive outcomes when it comes to globalization, many poor countries full of people that have to work for a long time just to earn a couple of dollars are affected negatively by big corporations/companies (globalization) because their country's people have low income and small amounts of money to spend in general, many of these people are in debt and owe people or companies money that takes a while for them to earn, not to mention, those people still have to buy food, water and clothing for themselves which doesn't help their budget one bit when big corporations are selling those products for what they think is "low priced" but not low enough for the people of poor countries to have close to the right amount of resources that a human being needs daily.

what is personal identity?
Personal identity is how people identify themselves, not only does personal identity mean the identification and portrayal of a person but it also means in some countries that they have extra rights, for example, many countries state that people have freedom of speech and thoughts, this meaning that people can say whatever they want and think whatever they want to a certain extent.
Personal identity is also how you look, how you sound when you speak, the language you speak, your gender, your ethnicity, culture and more. Personal identity is what makes you different from everybody else, its what makes you who you are.

are young people shaped by globalization?
Some people may agree that our world's youth follow like sheep into categories that we now call trends, but what are trends? Trends are actions that result in many people repeating the actions, over time these trends can become global, some examples of global trends are the music youth listen to now, what brands are popular to youth and what actions/hand gestures are most commonly used today.
I strongly believe that our world's youth are strongly affected by globalization and big corporations without knowing what those companies are trying to get from people nowadays, many people don't stop to think about what they're buying before they pay for it, they don't understand that they're falling into the category that we call trends, many people don't think about what the money they spend on expensive, trendy clothing is going towards, because they are to busy being assimilated by these massive, trendy organizations who are all trying to make mass amounts of money.

Are adults shaped by globalization?
As a youth today I wouldn't personally understand globalization from an adult's perspective, but I can somewhat understand that through social media and work, that they could be affected by globalization, after all globalization is the uprise of companies and corporations, and also actions and events that affect people on a global scale. social media is a big one when talking about globalization, both younger and older people nowadays are affected by social media, the comments from other peoples perspectives, global news both fake and true, facts and statistics, other peoples thoughts and comments.
Even some adults nowadays probably have a favorite brand of clothing, maybe they buy food and other resources from certain countries instead of others for reasons that could/could have affected them with at least a little bit of understanding about where the money goes to when the product is purchased, but not able to get a full grasp on what is actually happening around them.
