Globalization: At the beginning of social studies this year, we had started to learn about globalization, before when we had first been asked what it had meant, I had a general idea of what it could possibly mean but I didn't have the completely correct answer as to what it meant. Shortly after the fact I had become more understanding to the topic and knew what Globalization meant to the point where if somebody were to ask me what it meant I would be able to give them the definition and one or two examples to help them understand more. But what is Globalization? Globalization is the uprise/prime time of an organization or company to the point where they want to GLOBALLY expand their company. For example; McDonald's has fast food restaurants all over the place, if you were to pay very close attention while traveling through towns or cities, you would maybe start to feel like you're constantly seeing McDonald's restaurants everywhere!
But, is Globalization just about big Companies and Corporations?
The political and economic uprise and/or prime time of big Companies and/or Organizations is just one example of globalization that is commonly found today, but there are many other examples that revolve around the idea/definition of Globalization. Trends for example, everybody went through the whole fidget spinner fiasco even if they didn't own one, this started from one person's idea, and quickly spread among millions of people. I strongly believe that one reason the fidget spinner became a massive trend is because of social media, nowadays everybody has social media accounts, many popular social media apps require people to make "posts" posts are mainly pictures or videos (funny clips, memes, promotional advertisements, sponsors) things like rumours, trends, quotes or stereotypes can be quickly spread through social media apps due to the fact that pretty much everybody has a phone, tablet or computer, people share pictures and videos with friends and or groups of friends who then share it again. another massive time production of trends, rumours, stereotypes and quotes is an app and website called YouTube. thats since it was made famous there aren't many people that have known about this app and website from a young age. personally when I go to see my cousin who is isn't even ten years old yet, she usually watches videos on my auntie's phone and sometimes mine aswell.
